MCPG in MSight magazine

The Mongolian Booth at PDAC included two significant changes. Firstly, the MMHI provided insights into the policies and legal reforms implemented in Mongolia. Additionally, companies like Erdenes Mongol, MCPG (Mongolian Copper Prospecting Group), and ErdeneJas showcased their investment projects.

The Mongolian Copper Prospecting Group, making its debut at PDAC, presented 15 projects, including 13 exploration licenses and two exploitation licenses. These projects were highlighted as promising opportunities, with the group expressing interest in seeking investment, pursuing IPOs, and entering the Canadian financial market.

Uchral. O, the Executive Director of MCPG, shared his experience, stating, “I engaged in numerous meetings and interactions with various individuals within a short span. The face-to-face meetings, particularly those arranged post-PDAC with two investment firms at their premises, proved to be highly effective. These specialized gatherings for directors and executives fostered substantial conversations and networking opportunities. Our presence at the Mongolian Booth also contributed positively to our visibility and facilitated meaningful interactions. Without such dedicated spaces, conversations tend to be more scattered and less conducive. Moving forward, we aim to attend future PDAC events better prepared. My primary objective of promoting our project and establishing connections was achieved. There is significant interest in critical minerals, particularly gold, copper, and lithium, as well as exploration projects. Attendees frequently inquire about the government’s policy, and we are actively advocating for supportive legislation to encourage foreign investment in mining. It was encouraging to see the Minister and Deputy Ministers of Mining and Heavy Industry present, demonstrating the government’s interest in the sector. Additionally, there is keen interest in whether the government will participate in projects; our company being entirely private reassures investors.” Approximately 50 mining and exploration companies from Mongolia participated in PDAC.
