Ulaanbaatar, February 28, 2024 /MONCAME/. At today’s meeting of the government, the government’s resolution on adding copper and molybdenum concentrates and products to the types and categories of products traded on the Mining Products Exchange was approved.
In this way, Mongolian Stock Exchange believes that it is important to establish the sales evaluation of the products sold and shipped for sale by the person who trades copper and molybdenum concentrates and products based on the exchange price, and to support transparent and open exchange trading.
Currently, 22 enterprises own 27 special licenses for the use of copper and molybdenum. Of these, Erdenet Udyy SOE, with participation of state and local ownership, owns two special operating licenses. 621.5 to six enterprises this year. 1000 tons of copper concentrate and 6,240.0 tons of molybdenum concentrate to four enterprises.
With the approval of the decision, SOE “Erdenet Industry” will be responsible for trading copper and molybdenum concentrates on the exchange. The Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry, J. Ganbaatar, informed that the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, taking into account the previous agreement, has sent a directive to trade five percent of the industrial land on the mining products exchange in 2024.
