The fifth edition of the “MiningWeek & MinePro 2026” international mining conference and exhibition took place from September 16 to 19. The event brought together over 350 organizations and more than 20,000 participants—including inve
stors and delegates—from 15 countries, such as Mongolia, Australia, South Korea, Germany, and China. Attendees reviewed achievements and addressed a wide range of topics, including the current state of the mining industry, pressing challenges, development trends, and equipment modernization.
Representatives at the forum and participants in the breakout sessions—as well as the leadership of the Mongolian National Mining Association—emphasized the importance of developing this sector (which serves as the foundation of Mongolia’s economic growth), attracting investors by ensuring a stable legal environment, intensifying currently stalled geological exploration activities, and diversifying export revenues by expanding the range of mining products.
Mongolian Copper Prospecting Group LLC actively participated in “MiningWeek & MinePro 2026” and presented its “Tsoonogtyn Shil” gold placer deposit project during the showcase of investment-ready projects held on the second day of the event.
