The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change and “Environmental Research and Analysis Center” jointly organized “Comprehensive Mining Rehabilitation Training” for the first time.
More than 50 experts and employees of state-owned and locally-owned enterprises operating nationwide and representatives of the private sector are participating in the training, both in the classroom and online.
From July 2025, the “Environmental Research and Analysis Center” will organize the inventory of biological restoration of mining throughout Mongolia.
In connection with this work, the biological and technical rehabilitation of mining will be carried out in accordance with the standards, the legal framework for rehabilitation will be improved, and the assessment of the impact on the environment will be carried out, The aim is to raise awareness and skills on the legal environment of waste, the transportation, storage and collection of hazardous waste and the restoration of ecosystems degraded by mining activities.
The training is conducted by professional teachers with the title of doctor and professor. This qualification certificate training was held on June 16 and 17, 2025.
