The Morning Meeting of the Economic Journalists Club continued at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals. Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Ts. Tuvaan took part in the morning meeting, provided information on the progress of the investment contract for the Tavantolgoi and Zuzir-Ovo projects, the current issues of the sector, and made a presentation on the projects.
Exploration permits have been pending for about a year. Minister of Industry and Minerals Ts. Tuvaan said, “Changes in the regulations will be made and special permits will be opened in the near future and will start being issued this season. There’s a lot of need and demand to know where we are. There are up to 1,000 licenses registered nationally. That number is getting worse day by day. If we don’t pay special attention to geological exploration, the development of this sector will be neglected and the opportunity to attract investment will be lost,” he said.
